[edit] Remote Access to Session 4B of TNC 2009
The GLOBAL project will provide remote access via Isabel to session 4B "Implications & Benefits of Connectivity Beyond Europe" on Tuesday 9th from 17h to 18h30 of the TERENA Networking Conference 2009 taking place in Málaga (Spain) 8-11 June. Remote participation via Isabel will enable you to intervine and make remote questions. Video-streaming will be also supported for those interested in just following the session. Follow the instructions in this page if you are interested in participating remotely via Isabel.
Note: Remote access will be provided only to sesion 4B "Implications & Benefits of Connectivity Beyond Europe" on Tuesday 9th from 17h (check your local starting time of session here.) to 18h30, and not to the rest of the TNC 2009.
[edit] Remote Participation
In order to participate with Isabel in the TERENA Networking Conference 2009 please do as follows:
- Confirm participation by clicking here and sending the email which pops up with the requested data filled in.
- Install an Isabel PC following these instructions.
- We recommend to install Isabel on hard disk. If you have Isabel already installed update to the latest Isabel version.
- Contact Technical coordinators to test your Isabel platform: Claudia Cordova for Latin America and Abel Carril and Jaime Mejia for other regions (Phone +34-91-336-73-66 Ext. 3036).

TERENA Networking Conference Isabel session will use the following servers:
Main TERENA Server (RedIRIS)
- New! IP: 130.206.241.179 . Please connect to this server as the first choice.
Main UPM Server
- IPv4: mcux.global.dit.upm.es (193.146.135.10)
- IPv6: 2001:720:1500:fa:250:56ff:fe9a:9ec
- Required bandwidth: 1 Mbit.
Backup Server (In case of trouble with main UPM server, please connect to this one):
- IPv4: mcu1.dit.upm.es (138.4.24.46)

- Required bandwidth: 1 Mbit.

In order to have offline communication during the meetings, it is necessary to connect to the Isabel Plaza Chat, also available with any IRC client using the following configuration:
- Server: irc.dit.upm.es
- Port: 7000
- Channel: #isabel
[edit] Test Schedule
Remote participants should test their Isabel setup as follows:
- Isabel connectivity test on Friday 5th of June at 15:00 - 17:00 CEST (13:00 - 15:00 UTC/GMT) there we will an Isabel test session at Isabel server mcux.global.dit.upm.es.
- Tuninng Workshop on the 8th of June, from the final location at TERENA Conference Center. According to Conference time constraints, the first testing round will be at 15:00 – 16:00 CEST (13:00 - 14:00 UTC/GMT) (Check your local starting time here.). It should be made from the final auditorium and with the final configuration. The workshop will act as the absolutely final tunning and test before the event.
- A second test round will take place at 18:30 – 19:30 CEST (16:30 - 17:30 UTC/GMT) (Check your local starting time here.) for those not able to join the first round due to time zone differences.
