[edit] Introduction to Internet Next Generation 2009
Welcome to the Isabel coordination page of the Internet Next Generation 2009 event, taking place in Madrid on 10-november from 10:00 CET (or 9:00 UTC) to 19:00 CET (18:00 UTC): (Check your local starting time here.).
The GLOBAL Project supports the Isabel distribution of this event over the Internet as well as the video-streaming.
In the event programme you will find a summary of the different sessions, that will focus on the following topics:
- Mobile Communications Sustainability.
- Next Generation Internet and mobile networks.
[edit] Remote Participation
In order to participate with Isabel in the Internet Next Generation 2009 please do as follows:
- Confirm participation by clicking here and sending the email which pops up with the requested data filled in.
- Install an Isabel PC without modifying your local laptop harddisk using the instructions below.

- Although not mandatory, we recommend to install Isabel on hard disk. If you have Isabel already installed update to the latest Isabel version.

Internet Next Generation event will use the following Isabel servers:
- Main Server: mcu2.dit.upm.es (138.4.24.90) (IPv6: 2001:720:1500:24:21e:4fff:fee5:75f7)
In order to verify your Isabel platform is ready por remote participation please contact us to arrange a thorough test.

To request a remote presentation from your site, please click here and send the mail poping up with the requested data.
[edit] IRC Chat for reliable side communication
In order to have an alternative communication channel during the meetings, it is necessary to connect to the Isabel Plaza Chat, also available with any IRC client using the following configuration:
- Server: irc.dit.upm.es
- Port: 7000
- Channel: #isabel
[edit] Session Streaming and Recording
The meeting will be streamed at UPM Streaming Server 1 located in Madrid (Spain)
The recording of the session will be pusblished for later review.
You can find instructions on how to follow a live streaming or view a downloaded stream.

If you plan to participate and are not included yet notify the organisers following the instructions for participation. Once your inscription is processed and you appear on the list, please take note of the assigned nick to be used on your Isabel connections:
