[edit] Introduction to the Global Info Day (6th of March)
The Global FP7 Info Day aims at bringing awareness to non-EU countries (Asia-Pacific, Mediterranean, Latin America, USA and Canada) on the coming FP7 CALLS and above all increase their current participation in future projects. To facilitate access from remote regions, the Global Info Day is organised over the Internet with the Isabel advanced videoconferencing system such that travelling is avoided. To cope with time differences and languages a different session has been allocated for each region:
- 08h00-10h30 (UTC): Session for Asia and Mediterranean regions (English and French)
- 15h00-17h30 (UTC): Session for Latin America (Spanish)
- 17h30-18h30 (UTC): Session for North America (English)
This wiki page coordinates the technical setup of the Global FP7 Info Day. The Isabel application should be used to set up rooms or auditoriums in the Asia-Pacific region, Mediterranean region, Latin America, USA and Canada to allow remote interactive participation from institutions willing to offer the site as a local access point open to researchers interested in getting involved in EU Research Calls. The event will also be streamed over the Internet (Streaming servers: UPM Server, RedIris Server) for those who just want just to follow it.
Isabel sites should be set up if you plan to provide a point of participation for a significant number of persons in your town or area. You should allocate a room or auditorium, which will be connected by means of the Isabel PC to the session.
[edit] Instructions por participation
