[edit] Introduction to the EULAKS Summer School
Welcome to the Isabel coordination page of the EULAKS Summer School taking place in Mexico City (Mexico) on 17-30 August with the following Program. The GLOBAL Project supports the Isabel distribution over an IPv6/IPv4 transition scenario as well as the video-streaming.
- The Summer School starts on the 17th of August at 15:00 UTC/GMT (or 17:00 CET): (Check your local starting time here.). It will finish on 30th August.
[edit] Remote Participation
In order to participate with Isabel in the EULAKS Summer School please do as follows:
- Confirm participation by clicking here and sending the email which pops up with the requested data filled in.
- Install an Isabel PC without modifying your local laptop harddisk using the instructions below.

- We recommend to install Isabel on hard disk. If you have Isabel already installed update to the latest Isabel version.
- Contact Technical coordinators to test your Isabel platform: Cordova and Jaime Mejia (Phone +34-91-336-73-66 Ext. 3036).
[edit] Isabel Connection information
EULAKS Summer School will use a main and a backup Isabel servers (to be published soon):
In order to verify your Isabel platform is ready por remote participation please contact us to arrange a thorough test.
[edit] Non Isabel Connection
- Skype Access: Please provide us your Skype user contacting us so we invite you before the meeting starts. The GLOBAL Skype user is global-isabel. Skype access will only provide audio communication.
- Streaming: The meeting will be streamed at Streaming Server 1. Available recordings will be pusblished for later review.
In order to test your selected connection method please contact us to arrange a thorough test.

In case you plan to use a presentation during your remote participation, please click here and send the mail poping up with the requested data.
[edit] IRC Chat for reliable side communication
In order to have offline communication during the meetings, it is necessary to connect to the Isabel Plaza Chat, also available with any IRC client using the following configuration:
- Server: irc.dit.upm.es
- Port: 7000
- Channel: #isabel
[edit] Session Streaming and Recording
The meeting will be streamed at following servers
- UPM Streaming Server 1 located in Madrid (Spain)
It will also be recorded for later review. Check back for links to the recordings here. You can find instructions on how to follow a live streaming or view a downloaded stream.

This section contains the list of remote Isabel sites which have already confirmed their participation. If you plan to participate and are not included yet notify the organisers following the instructions for participation. Once your inscription is processed and you appear on the list, please take note of the assigned nick to be used on your Isabel connections:
