[edit] Introduction to the BELIEF-6CHOICE India Symposium

Welcome to the Isabel coordination page of the BELIEF-6CHOICE India Symposium taking place in Delhi (India) on 28-29 January with the following Program. The GLOBAL Project supports the Isabel distribution over an IPv6/IPv4 transition scenario and the video-streaming.

• IPv6 Workshop : 28th January from 15:30 Delhi time (or 10:00 UTC/GMT) (Check your local starting time here.) to 17:30 Dehli time.

• e-Infrastructures for Distance Learning : 28th January from 17:50 Dehli time (or 12:20 UTC/GMT) (Check your local starting time here.) to 19:30 Dehli time and 29th January from 10:00 Dehli time to 16:30 Dehli time.

• Tuesday 27th January from 10h30 CET (Check your local starting time here.) to 11h30 CET. All participating sites should connect.

• IPv6 Workshop (28th January): All participating sites should connect at 14:50 Delhi time (or 09:20 UTC/GMT) (Check your local starting time here.) for final adjustments.

• e-Infrastructures for Distance Learning (28th January): All participating sites should connect at 17h10 Dehli time (or 11:40 UTC/GMT) (Check your local starting time here.) for final adjustments.

[edit] Remote Participation

In order to participate with Isabel in the Symposium please do as follows:

1. Confirm participation by clicking here and sending the email which pops up with the requested data filled in.
2. Install an Isabel PC following these instructions.
   • We recommend to install Isabel on hard disk. If you have Isabel already installed update to the latest Isabel version.
   • Contact Technical coordinators to test your Isabel platform: Abel Carril and Jaime Mejia (Phone +34-91-336-73-66 Ext. 3036).

BELIEF-6CHOICE India Symposium will use two Isabel servers:

Main Server

• IPv4: mcu1.dit.upm.es (138.4.24.46)
• IPv6: 2001:720:1500:24:230:48ff:fe54:2d4b
• Required bandwidth: 1 Mbit.

Backup Server (In case of trouble with main server, please connect to this one):

• IPv4: mcux.global.dit.upm.es (193.146.135.10)
• IPv6: 2001:720:1500:fa:250:56ff:fe9a:9ec
• Required bandwidth: 1 Mbit.

In order to verify your Isabel platform is ready por remote participation please contact us to arrange a thorough test.

[edit] Non Isabel Connection

• Skype Access: Please provide us your Skype user contacting us so we invite you before the meeting starts. The Global Skype user is global-isabel.

• Streaming: The meeting will be streamed at Streaming Server 1 and Streaming Server 2. Available recordings will be pusblished for later review.

In order to test your selected connection method please contact us to arrange a thorough test.

In order to have offline communication during the meetings, it is necessary to connect to the Isabel Plaza Chat, also available with any IRC client using the following configuration:

• Server: irc.dit.upm.es
• Port: 7000
• Channel: #isabel

Streaming: The meeting will be streamed simultaneously at Streaming Server 1 and Streaming Server 2.
